Treat our devices as if you own them. Treat them with care and cation. Although the devices are intended for industrial use, they are still sensitive devices that are intended to provide accurate and specific data to our customers. If any damage happens to the equipment while it is in your possession, you agree to pay CSS Rents for the repair or replacement costs. If you decide you need to extend your rental period, please call us right away so we can adjust our plans and make sure our next customer is taken care of.
Each rental includes the device(s), accessories, software, user manuals, carrying cases, and copies of current calibration certificates for the device. We include a detailed and comprehensive equipment checklist with each order. We will check off that each component is included in the box before we ship the device. Please use this checklist to also ensure that you are returning each component when sending the equipment back to us.
The best in the industry! All of our equipment is extremely new and we maintain annual factory calibrations on each device. We also check each shipment before sending it out to ensure it arrives with all the necessary components. If you receive equipment that you believe to be damaged during shipping, please call us immediately so we can rectify the situation.
Daily rentals are 24 hours. Weekly rentals are 7 days. Monthly rentals are a full calendar month. Unless a device is scheduled for an early morning delivery, you are not charged for rental costs for delivery day.

We charge for outbound and inbound shipping costs. We typically ship UPS or FedEx Ground shipping to ensure the best rates for our customers. If you need the instrument faster, you only pay the difference in the expedited shipping cost to get the unit to you. All rentals are shipped from our warehouse in Denver, CO. Using shipping carriers’ online systems, we make the best shipping cost estimate available when you place your order. We promise to ship as economically as possible based on device availability and your desired rental start date. We calculate exact shipping at the time we package the instrument. CSS Rents will include a pre-printed return shipping label in the box with your rental. If, while the instrument is at your site, we need the instrument returned faster than UPS or FedEx ground (so the next renter can use it), we’ll send you a new shipping label. You will not be charged anything for the faster return delivery.
Yes! Our warehouse is located near the Denver International Airport, so we have the ability to easily get a same day shipment out. If you need a same day shipment, please call us so we can coordinate with you.
Yes, in most cases! It is dependent on if the shipping service is available from the carrier to your location.
If there is a delivery issue, please call us immediately. If there is a factor outside of our or your control, like weather, issues with the carrier, etc, we will not charge you for additional rental time.
We will provide a return shipping label with each shipment, unless you elect to have us charge your account through a shipping carrier. Each shipment will arrive with detailed instructions regarding how to properly package and return your equipment.
Our default is UPS, but can also ship FedEx or USPS based on customer preference. Instead of being bilt for shipping on your invoice, you can also provide us with an account number at a shipping carrier and we can charge your account.
Yes, we just ask that you provide a dedicated physical address where the device can be dropped off by a shipping carrier. If the rental is being shipped directly to a job site, we ask that you provide us a phone number and contact name at the location.
If you prefer, you can use your own company’s shipper number from UPS or FedEx. In this case, you will be charged for the carrier’s insurance cost to cover instrument replacement.
In order to ensure availability and to ensure the lowest shipping rates, we recommend ordering your equipment as far in advance as possible. If you are repeatedly renting equipment for regularly scheduled testing, we recommend placing multiple rental reservations at once.

Once you submit a quote request on our website, if during normal business hours, someone from our team will contact you the same day to confirm order details. If a request is submitted after normal business hours, we will get in touch with you first thing the next business day.
When your order is confirmed, we will process a credit authorization for $1.00 to test for accurate card information and to protect you from credit card fraud. This charge is an expiring charge. Your card will not be charged for the rental amount until the shipment leaves our facility to head to you.
If you decide to keep the device past the stated rental period of your order, you will be charged for overtime. Rates will be determined using our standard day/week/month tables, and we’ll adjust the time period on your reservation. If you plan on keeping your order past the return date on your contract, please notify us immediately so we can adjust our arrangements for the next customer.
We schedule our shipments to go out based on when our customers need them. We typically schedule our shipments to go out far enough in advance to utilize UPS ground to help keep your shipping costs low.
